NEW SAFE SPORT REQUIREMENT FOR ROWERS OVER THE AGE OF 18, VOLUNTEER PARENTS AND ROWING STAFF
The certification
Who must complete Safe Sport, and how
All athletes aged 18 or over must complete the Safe Sport Certification by the first week of their practice. Volunteer parents and rowing staff must complete it as well.
The certification is free, takes the form of videos with quizzes and a final exam, and is valid for three years.
To take the training, log in to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Learning Management System:
- Create your account at safesporttrained.org
- Use the USRowing enrollment key NGBUSR-RFKt8f, so your training is linked to USRowing
- Provide your member number when prompted, so it links to your USRowing membership
